MEGDAN is an old Bulgarian word for the center of a village or a town where people used to gather, compete in singing and dancing or just chatter away, where the lads meet the lasses, where wine pours and laughter and joy never seems to cease. It was concidered the heart and soul of the village where all that is Bulgarian, all that we are proud of, comes to life.
